Materials like wood, aluminum, plastics, glass and composites are treated using specially formulated Armex Baking Soda Abrasives.
Materials including epoxy coatings and rust on metal or concrete require a much more aggressive blasting media like coal slag (Black Beauty), which is considered one of the safer forms of media, containing less than 1% silica. Options also include Aluminum oxide blasting, the most aggressive multipurpose blasting media.
Finish and Restoration
We have performed numerous projects where the purpose of blasting is not only to remove paint, but also give the substrate an appealing textured surface that does not require repainting. After blasting and clean up, personnel are trained and experienced in repainting any size project from residential structures to industrial storage tanks using latex, oils, urethanes, or epoxy coatings.
