Lead Abatement

Pioneers in Lead-Based Paint Abatement

Pro-Tech Environmental, Inc. is one of the pioneers in the lead abatement field in Michigan. In 1998, we completed one of the very first residential projects conducted by the Michigan Lead Hazard Remediation Program. Since 1998, Pro-Tech has conducted hundreds of lead abatement projects of every size and magnitude.

All Technicians are Certified and Licensed

All Pro-Tech technicians have successfully completed extensive training and are certified and licensed to ensure the safety of general construction trades and future building inhabitants. Our statewide team has accomplished more unique lead abatement projects than anyone else in the industry. Specific projects include industrial facilities, hospitals and large public utilities, as well as single and multi-family housing projects.

Knowledge and Experience with Area Regulations

New federal, state and local regulations controlling lead abatement are in place all over the country. Project leaders team-up with building owners, developers and general contractors to develop cost effective work plans to ensure compliance with OSHA, HUD, and MSHDA requirements. Specialized enclosures with particulate and HEPA filtration are utilized as required under the Lead in Construction Standard 1926.62 to protect the environment, work force and end users.

State-of-the-Art Equipment

Pro-Tech Environmental, Inc. utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and processes in the market today. We have the ability to perform instant on-site analysis of painted surfaces for the identification of lead0based containing paints. The use of our X-Ray Fluorescence Lead Detector (XRF) allows for non-destructive testing and instantaneous results, speeding up the project evaluation process.
